CREATE YOUR OWN WEBSITE AND PROMOTE IN A WAY THAT SAVES YOU MONEY - I've tried many, many options and these are the best I have found if you have a shoe-string start-up budget.

To begin here, let me offer a little disclaimer. I am by now way an expert. I cannot show you gigantic bank statements from the website but I am not selling you anything. Other than hoping you will use my links, I am sincerely offering you what I have learned 'the hard way' over the last couple years of studying e-books, e-courses, business set-up plans, certification courses and just plain old trial and error. One thing you will find for sure about all this. Information you receive today may be completely outdated by the end of the week. That is just how fast the Internet Marketing changes. What I am offering is basic and generic information. I hope you find it helpful.

The first place to start is selecting the type of website you want to build. If you want to concentrate on one particular product or company, a fresh content website or offer a service, the start-up is pretty basic. First you need to register a domain name and pick a hosting company for your website. These are almost interchangeable when you are managing websites. Once you get into more than one site it does become complicated when you have a domain name separate from the hosting company. Use the two together and it is really much easier. It is not impossible, just a lot simpler. The choices of hosting and domain name registers are multiple. There are really many good choices but as good as some seem at first it is hard to find one that offers good pricing, good support service, multiple template choices, convenient monthly billing, reliability, stability, and many modern and up to the minute plug-ins. Ease of use and choices along with enough broad ban space for a very small investment are really hard to find.

STEP #1:
So, the first step is to choose a really good host for your website. I have used several different hosting companies and have had several different types of websites. Yahoo! Web Hosting does offer a good service but it is less user friendly than Homestead and it is about four times more expensive. It may have more pages but with Homestead Hosting you do have the option to add more pages for a little more money each month. I need a lot more pages than they offer for the lowest pricing but I will explain later who i get around that for NO EXTRA cost.


Another good choice:

This was an excellent choice for an e-commerce store. I had a over 200 e-books and used Yahoo as my host. It worked really well. HOMESTEAD has a plan for e-commerce which I am assuming is very good but I have not personally tried it.

If you do a search you will see many more choices. That of course is up to you. So, now that you have chosen your website host and the plan you will start with, it is time to choose a domain name. Even if you budget allows for an advanced plan choice, I would suggest that you choose the least expensive to start. You can always upgrade as needed. I would further suggest that you wait to upgrade until you have some income from the website. The first rule of small business start-up is to avoid using your own money. For the first year, or at least the first few months, the majority of the income should be reinvested in the business to build on what you have already created.
